Liege train stations
Liege main train station is Liege Guillaumins. Currently there is a reconstruction of some parts of the station, so it looks a little bit like a construction place, but the interesting modern architecture of the station is worth noting. Liege Guillaumins is the place, where all trains to and through Liege stop, including the international ones, but unfortunately it is not very close to the city center. The station Liege Palais, on the regional line towards Antwerpen and Hasselt is much closer to the center, and I went by train to it to start looking around the city. However, the trains between the two stations are on every 30 minutes, so if you have just missed the train or don't want to wait for it - there are busses that can take you to the center. [more] |
