wide selection of beers, good food, friendly staff
If you find yourself in the Night bazaar, as most people do, then a good place for Western food and a big selection of imported beers is the Red Lion. They have draught Guinness, imported from Dublin and Tetley's bitter as well as a selection of ciders and Belgian and German beers. What really makes this place is the fact that it is a great pklace to relax and watch the world go buy in the colourful night bazaar, as well as the very good staff. Very friendly and entertaining. As well as the standard english food of fish n chips and bangers and mash they also have steaks and pies as well as thai food. Well worth a visit. [more] |

Red Lion English Pub and Restaurant
The Red Lion English Pub and Restaurant was most definitely a real British style public house, and I was able to enjoy some fine English beers and choose some very authentic British food from the menu which included such favourites as steak and kidney pies and good old traditional British fish and chips amongst other offerings. The Red Lion had an outside terrace and a big screen inside showing sports and news. Also inside darts was a popular sport which was on offer and this was just one more thing that added to the atmosphere of the place, not that I could even hit the dartboard! [more] |
