Friendly service in a busy cafe
My first impression was that the café was very expensive, but so are most of the cafes in the area. It is the only café in a little stretch of shops, so, with no competition, it seems to get full all the time. The staff is very friendly, even when I took up a whole table on a public holiday and ordered just a coffee while my toddler was making an awful lot of mess with some biscuits I had brought from home. It would have taken me some effort to be friendly under the circumstances. Another time I had breakfast there and it was very tasty. They offered to replace the bacon, which I did not want, with something else, although they did not have to. I did not expect a substitute and I thought it was a nice gesture. [more] |
