Westfield’s Penrith Plaza at 585 High Street, Penrith is a one stop shop that could take days to rummage through. There are 333 stores in multiple levels and interlinking buildings to choose from. The latest fashions for all ages and genders, Australian Geographic, video games, banks, optometrists, shoes, mobiles, home furnishing and decor, jewellery, books, music, DVDs, pet shop, hair studios, exercise, massage, news agency, groceries, fruit stands, butchers, bakers and even the candle stick maker. Special offer is for every $100 spent you will receive a $20 gift certificate to use on another day. There is also a Wkid’s Club for activities to fill your little ones time while you shop. They hold many events for every age. Example this week the Penrith Panthers Footie Team will be at the plaza for autographs, meeting, photos, cheerleaders performing, and coach talking about the year to come and how they have gone so far. For other entertainment there are several bars to hang out in or the Hoyts Cinema on level 2. Hoyts has numerous screens and two of them are cinemaxx. For dining there are over 41 cafes, restaurants, takeaway or food court shops; anything from fast food, pizza, vegetarian, Chinese, Mexican, sushi and more. Even several ice cream and donut shops in the middle of the halls to just grab a quick bite while shopping. They are open Monday to Wednesday 9:00-5:50; Thursday 9:00 – 9:00; Friday 9:00-5:30; Saturday 9:00 -5:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 4:00. There is a huge parking garage with 5 levels and it is free for the first three hours. The train station is across the street and bus line makes several stops around it. I don’t even go to shop sometimes, being an American in Australia I have to hit the Starbucks Coffee once in awhile to remember where I come from.
