I'm giving Cecilia Forest five stars, but if you want to experience it, you'll have to be quick, because Cape Town's powers that be have decided that the trees there are mostly of alien variety, and as such have to be cleared. This makes me want to cry. Currently, it is a haven for walkers and nature lovers in Cape Town, with huge old eucalyptus and pine trees, a little stream and lots of shade. A walk through Cecilia forest will undoubtedly refresh the mind, and when it is slightly wet, you can find some delicious mushrooms there too. It is also a great place to let your dog run free. And get this - it is free! You only have to pay the parking attendant a few rand to watch your car, and there's no other charge. Enjoy it while you still can... [more] |
