Silver Spur Steak Ranch review
Silver Spur Steak Ranches Restaurant at 123 Mulgoa Road in Penrith, NSW, Australia is a bit over the top in decor, but provides great food and family entertainment. The walls are done up with Aztec designs in bright colours, totem poles between bench tables covered in brown/white cow hide, tepee/stain glass chandeliers and huge Indian head as a mascot. You walk in thinking a designer from hell was let loose. But the food is delicious and in great portions. The spur fries are crisp with lots of bacon and cheese, the steaks are juicy and good size, and cheese garlic bread is great. Adult menu is Australian cuisine with surf/turf options. There are vegetarian options too. The kid’s menu is $9.95 for nuggets, burgers, fish, pizza, rack of rib, chicken breast all with chips or veggies. Entrees run $2.95 to $24.95, mains $12.95 to $39.95 and desserts run $4.95 to $8.95. The kid’s dessert options are fun; rainbow jelly and Chico the clown (upside down cone of ice cream in a bowl with lollies to make a clown). There is a bar separate from the dining room for adults to relax. Kid’s rooms with a clown babysitter that is amazing. One of the rooms has 4 playstations, another is a kid size movie theatre and lastly is a toy room with a castle to play on. There are glass windows in every room but the theatre and only one door in and out so you can see the kids and know if they left the room. There is also a kid’s birthday club for a free meal on their special day and monthly they run a promotion in the paper for kids to bring in a coupon for free items. This past week was a talking clock. Opening times Monday thru Friday 11:00am to 9:00pm; openings on Saturday 12:00pm and Sunday 11:30am. The accept all major credit cards, are fully licensed, and have a good size parking lot to cater to your needs. There are booster seats and highchairs for kiddie accommodations. [more] |
