Best Books in St. Andrews
Booklovers like me will automatically seek out the best bookshop in town as soon as they arrive. In St. Andrews that would have to be Bouquiniste, on Market Street. The store itself isn’t large, but they’ve managed to fit a ton of books onto the shelves. While they definitely deal in the run of the mill paperbacks, Bouquiniste is also a purveyor of old, rare and collector books. This may not be the cheapest book store in town, but the quality is of the highest calibre. All year, if the weather is nice, the owner sets up a couple of tables in the middle of town by the fountain and covers them with books of every description, tempting all passers-by to stop and have a look at what’s on offer.
