Cake break in Centro
If you're out and about in Centro and want to take the weight off, stopping for a coffee and a cake at Casa Cave is always a good option. The coffee shop/bakery was founded in 1860, and there's plenty of old-school charm about the place. Visitors can detect Spanish and French influences in the architecture and decor, although the menu takes its lead from the Portuguese. As well as good coffees, there are sweet pastries filled with gooey treats such as egg custard and cinnamon. You can also get wine by the glass here, should you require something other than coffee to keep yourself going. [more] |
