The Panoly Amenities
At first, I was skeptic about this hotel. I thought it was a small, rustic lodging house. But when I saw the whole place, I was amazed. The hotel is huge and the same as the ordinary hotels in Manila. The only beautiful difference is the beach front feature. Yes, the Panoly is located just beside the beach. It has its main suites and cottages which are all comfortable and clean. Each room here is equipped with a cable TV, small fridge, aircondition, and a big bathtub. It also has a small kitchen place where you can place your food and wash the dishes. The veranda is my favorite part of the room because from there, I could relax and write in the morning or simply sit back and watch the sunset in the afternoon. The hotel also has a swimming pool, lawn tennis court, basketball court, volleyball area, and spa rooms. [more] |

The Panoly Food
Each room in the Panoly Hotel is equipped with a small fridge filled with sodas, beers, water, and junk food. But before you grab one, make sure you look at the price list first. From what I remember, a bottle of beer is already 115Php or roughly $3. That price is too much when you can buy it for only a dollar outside the hotel. That is why I suggest that you bring your own beers, water, and food, but don’t let the guard catch you because bringing food inside the hotel is not allowed. For your heavy meals, do what we did. We just bought from the eateries outside the hotel. Those eateries are located on the highway, so you need to walk for a few minutes to get to them. If you’re in dire need of money, you will surely forget about the “walking-in-the-sun” thing and will just think about cheap meals. Trust me; you’ll need that extra money from your food budget. The Panoly Hotel
Boracay island is for every one—from those who are looking for party at the beach to those who are seeking absolute serene escape. But, I’m focusing on the latter. Tranquility, clear waters, and far from the hustle and bustle of the main beach—these are what The Panoly Hotel offers to every visitor. This hotel is located in Punta Bunga which is a northern part of the island. To get there, you need to ride a tricycle or a hotel shuttle. If you will get the former, be ready for a walking adventure. Since the Panoly is beside the beach, you need to walk in a rough road going down to that part. On the other hand, it’s best to hop on a shuttle to avoid walking. This location is advantageous because it allows the hotel patrons to have an exclusive beach escape. It is advantageous, however, because it’s far from the main beach where all the special events in the island happen. [more] |
