Perle, nightclub/lounge
Perle is a lounge/nightclub/bar in the heart of New Brunswick. It is on Paterson Street, just a block off of George Street. There is no cover on Friday nights for girls who arrive before 11:00pm. After that, the cover is $12. I'm not sure how much it is for guys, but I would assume that it's between $10 and $15 all night. Drinks are not the cheapest - between $8 and $12 depending on what you get. There is one main bar area with tables and booths near the walls. There is an open area, not technically a dance floor, but it's where people dance. It works the cool/hip vibe fairly well with white couches and funky lighting. There is a room off to the side that has a smaller bar and is often less crowded. It's popular with older students and locals. Security clears people out promptly at closing time, so don't expect to be able to hang out. There isn't a strict dress code, but look nice! It's open from 10:00pm to 2:00am Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I've only ever been on a Friday and the music is a mix of the usual club classics/anthems and remixed new music.
