Negros Occidental has a lot to offer, I’m pretty sure you don’t know about that yet. That’s because you haven’t been there. This province has 13 cities and 19 municipalities that each celebrates its own festival. One best example of which is Bacolod City’s, which is Negros’ capital, well-known MassKara Festival. For your information, Negros has more festivals other than the MassKara including the popular Pintaflores of San Carlos City, Bailes de Luces of La Castellana, and many more. If you want to witness the beauty the towns and their festivals without exhausting yourself by traveling too far, follow my advice. Visit Bacolod City on the last week of April when the whole island celebrates the Panaad sa Negros festival. It is celebrated in the Panaad Stadium, a huge park packed with thousands of people from all over the province along with their friends from other countries every year. The festival features live performances of Manila-based artists, beauty pageants, cultural street dancing, hip-hop dance competition, and a lot more. Absolute fun and learning experience—these are what the Panaad sa Negros Festival offers. I really enjoyed my stay in Bacolod because of this festival.
