Harris Baking company- best bakery in downtown
My girlfriend loves baked goods for breakfast, and for a long time this proved to be a fruitless search around Savannah. For some reason people would much prefer grits and eggs every day rather than flaky delicious pastries. In fact, the only place we consistently found them was a gas station until the Harris Baking company opened. Harris Baking is in the bottom of this huge glass tower, sort of tucked away on Drayton st, but it's worth looking for. They have fresh breads, pastries, and a number of different desert items, plus coffee, tea, and a few sandwiches they make fresh.
