Meteora-Kalampaka: Tavern To Paramithy
When I visited Meteora’s fabulous monasteries, I slept in Kalampaka, not far away from Trikala (Kastrakion).
Kalampaka is a small charming village, the perfect place to base yourself and explore the region.
In what comes to food I have to recommend the Tavern Restaurant “To Paramithy”, that you will find easily at Kalampaka’s centre.
The typical Greek wines like the “resina-ted” wine Malamatina – were great. The condiments in the food precious – and even fish was fabulous, though we were not close to the Sea.
And all was done in front of you - in a nice small fire-place. Plus the cost was really acceptable - not so expensive at all. I went there all my nights in Kalampaka/Meteora. [more ]
