Page Springs Campground - Camping
Page Springs is a lovely place to camp. The nearby Donner und Blitzen River and the juniper trees scattered across the campground help keep it cool on hot summer days. About half of the camp sites have shade from the trees. This is a great place from which to start your exploration of the beautifully rugged Steens Mountain and it is close enough to Frenchglen that you can easily drive in for dinner at the hotel if you tire of camp food. Page Springs has a hiking trail that follows the river upstream for those who love hiking. I believe there is a fee for camping here, and camp sites go quickly, so call ahead to the BLM for information at 541-573-4400. [more] |
