If you're looking for a unique restaurant while touring Amsterdam like we did, I would recommend going to a place called "Herrie," which means "noise" in Dutch. The name serves the place well, I think, especially if you're at the black-and-purple bar on the lower level of this place. Upstairs, though, it's a bit quieter and it's here that you can enjoy a nice meal. When we dined here, I had carpaccio of beef as a starter, a main course meal of half of a lobster and veal- and lobster-stuffed ravioli with avocado and mango sauce. Dessert was, simply enough, brownies with a sweet mousse and nuts. Definitely recommended.
