Food for a good cause
This is the one restaurant I always return to everytime I am in Bangkok. Located just off Sukhumvit in Soi 12, the restaurant's exterior is unremarkable, but once you step in and are greeted with all varieties of decorations made out of condoms, everything changes. The owner of Cabbages and Condoms has pledged to match every customer's bill with donations towards sex education and HIV awareness. The entire restaurant's deco is condom-themed, even down to streamers and entire mannequins made out of condoms. The cocktails have names related to condoms and sex ("Blue Condom" served at the "Vasectomy Bar"), and are absolutely delicious, as is the food. I would say the food isn't as spicy as it could be due to the heavy tourist traffic, but it is still authentic and very affordable compared to other tourist haunts.
