York's Fairmont Resort has everything you need
York’s Fairmont Resort on Sublime Road in Leura is a great getaway for many of your needs. York’s has just acquired the resort from Pepper’s and also has bought Leura Gardens and is working towards making a better resort. Many renovations have been undertaken since the takeover and there are many more plans being put into action.
They have two restaurants on site for dining pleasure. The Jamison Restaurant is a buffet style and the Eucalypt Restaurant is fine dining al a carte. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I know them personally and they work very hard to acquire everything above expectations.
There are two pools available one indoors and the other outdoors with a great landscaped garden surrounding.
The Leura Golf Club is next door with the greens surrounding most of the resort, and a tennis court and squash court is available for other sport enthusiasts.
They have a health club and nail studio with facial and body treatments available. There is also a gym to accommodate your workout needs.
It has 210 guest rooms and suites with modern furniture in an elegantly decor historic building. It was modelled after a Swiss hotel in the Alps with the criss-cross beams and stucco walls. Check out the paintings and sculpture from the local artists of the Blue Mountains.
In the main lounge there is a piano playing every weekend with soothing tunes to help relax you.
Their conference and meeting venues have been a favourite for business. They can cater from 4 to 800 people. It is ideal for training courses, meetings and business retreats. The organizers can tailor to your needs.
For wedding this is an intimate and beautiful venue; for ceremonies, receptions and honeymoons. They have a wedding coordinator that will ease your mind and help your dream come true. There is a pond, waterfall or Jamison Valley views for a backdrop or elegant rooms.
It is close to Leura Town centre and many Blue Mountain attractions. The Explorer Bus, Trolley and link buses have stops here and will take you to any destination you want to see or explore.
Surrounding the resort are beautiful gardens and it is in walking distance to the Everglades and Sublime Point lookout. From the lookout you can see the Three Sisters without having to be crowded at the popular Echo Point centre.
Prices range from $345 a night to $728 a weekend, but they do have specials for holidays and weekdays.
Their Yulefest activities are fun. It was my first place to experience the Aussie holiday. The piano was playing, Santa was making his rounds to tables, the decor was fabulous. [more ]
