Fine Sushi
Great sushi is really hard to find in France. Wasabi d'Azur would be considered so-so sushi in the States, but here, in comparison to other places, it's pretty good. It came with high recommendations from friends, so I checked it out. Maybe I'm just a sushi snob, but I wasn't too impressed. The fish was fresh, but it was cut into very small pieces, especially considering the prices. When I have sushi, I want a healthy chunk of fish and not too much rice. Here, it's the other way around, which I've seen at some sushi places in the States, but it's usually enough to make me not go back: there's too much really good sushi back home. The soup and salad are really good though. All in all, it's not bad, and some of the best you can get if you're really craving sushi in Cannes. [more] |
