It Just Keeps Getting Better
So I had to go back to Edgar’s for a second run, having enjoyed myself so much the first time around. And let me say…I think I’ve found my new hang out. We ended up having a few different things from the menu besides just wings and drinks (half off wings and 2 for 1 during happy hour, which I was perfectly content with)…and what we had were absolutely delicious. We started with a Paquete appetizer, and then split the Barbequed Pork Sandwich and the Cuban Sandwich. When I was finished, I was so full I couldn’t even finish my Mango Mojito (and actually made myself a little sick to my stomach…I ate just too much food, but food that good makes it hard to stop eating). And besides this, the bartenders remembered our names from our first visit…great food and excellent service with some Caribbean attitude. It makes me want to travel to a tropical paradise. I’m definitely going back to try the Tomato Avocado Salad, Sweet Potatoes Fries, and Rum Cake…and let me say I can’t wait. [more] |

A Little Bit Jamaican…with a lot of Love
I absolutely love this new restaurant and bar. It blends Caribbean and Jamaican flavors together to create both an inviting atmosphere, as well as a mouth-watering drink and dinner menu. The walls are covered in a colorful mural done by the owner of the restaurant himself and is complete with thatched roofs over the bar…tying together this fun tropical themed restaurant. They also have a fantastic happy hour Monday-Friday concluded with a wing special (the Jamaican Jerk wings were scrumptious…one of my new favorite wings of the city). They’re selection of Cuban and Jamaican food is utterly tempting. And above all, the prices can’t be beat…appetizers starting at about $3.50, and entrees run $8-$15. And to top it all off, their staff was fun and engaging. I in vision this restaurant becoming my new favorite place to be on Fridays after a hard work week. [more] |
