Hotel Sol Ibiza
This is a 4 star hotel situated on the outskirts of Santa Eularia des Riu, a coastal resort on Ibiza. The location of the hotel is on a headland offering lovely view out to sea, and it’s a few minutes walk to the marina and 15-20minutes walk into the centre of the resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms in the hotel are comfortable although we found them a little cramped for 3 adults. The rooms have a free safe and a free fridge (you have to ask reception for 10 specific items if you want a mini-bar), hairdryer, TV (with 3 english channels) and balcony. The bathrooms are very spacious. The hotel has a fantastic gym which is on the headland so overlooks the sea – there is a wide range of equipment and it’s open 8am-8pm. There is also an indoor and an outdoor pool, which aren’t very warm but if it’s good weather you’ll probably be glad of that. There is also a Turkish bath and sauna. You can get towels for by the pool at a deposit of 10 Euros each and you can collect/change these between 9-1 and 3-8. There is a snack bar by the pool which serves pasta, salad, sandwiches, omelette or chicken/burger & chips. Meals start from about 5 euros and are served until 4pm. There are two bars for the evening – the piano bar (which shows football if it’s on) and the other bar where there is a show every other night, bars are open until 1am. The main restaurant serves a buffet breakfast between 8 and 10.30am and dinner 7-10pm. There is a good range of food on offer and it is well cooked. There is only Spanish wines on offer but they start at 5 Euros a bottle. There are 4 computers available for public use at a cost of 3 Euros for an hour. There is a small shop in the hotel which sells water, some toiletries, newspapers, postcards and limited souvenirs. It is open 8.30-12.30. There is a supermarket a few minutes walk from the hotel (turn right as you leave the main entrance). The hotel also offers a laundry service. Check out is at 12pm. [more] |
