Old Bakery Coffee Shop is pleasant surprise
Old Bakery Coffee Shop on Macquarie Road in Springwood, NSW, Australia is new to the Arcade. A young couple, Catherine and Ben Mulik, have been in business for two months. They have some great things going for them - great off street seating, delicious menu and wonderful coffee. One bad thing – Michel’s Patisserie sits in front of it. They seem to be holding their own, when I visited the seats where full inside. I like how they are off the street and cosy. There are magazines and newspapers for a relaxing read, nice decor and really enjoyed my meal and coffee. They are not licensed, and are still working on getting a eptfos machine for cards. Mains run from $6.20 to $13.90 and desserts are $4.00 to $6.90. Their scones are mouth-watering and coffee has a great body. They have highchairs for the kiddies, and crayons and paper for them to be entertained. The Muliks are wonderful people, very open and friendly. Open Monday to Saturday 8:30-3:30 and closed on Sunday. Parking available on the street or across the road at Franklins’ lot. It is on the bus line and down the street from the train station.
