Bratislava blue church
This is a spectacular creation that looks like it’s made out of blu tack or marzipan, with pieces of crystallized sugar stuck on the side. It stands out in the surrounding area which has a mixture of crumbling old buildings and ugly modern ones. We spent a while taking photos from every possible angle and gave in to the temptation to poke the walls- sadly they weren’t as spongy as they looked. The interior is just as beautiful if you get a chance to have a look; the bright blue theme continues and contrasts with the rich reds and golds of the ornaments. I usually get bored after visiting too many churches, but this is a must see. [more] |
