Downtown Dutch Village
This Dutch-style town is located approximately 5 miles from the Canadian border in Northwestern Washington State. It lies in view of the gorgeous Mt. Baker. This is a beautifully maintained town that prides itself of impeccably manicured lawns and beautiful hanging floral arrangements in the downtown area. The hanging baskets are present from spring through autumn and help create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the downtown area. While the hanging baskets against the Dutch style store fronts is without a doubt attractive, probably the biggest attraction is the 72 foot windmill that caps the Dutch Village Inn downtown.
Front Street is considered the main entrance to downtown and it is worth a drive just to view the beautifully maintained lawns. Grover Street, one block over, also offers a beautiful entrance into or exit from the downtown area. [more ]
