Upper Class Pizza at CPK
CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) has a few branches across Metro Manila. A few branches of note are in Glorietta Mall and Shangri-la Mall. It is the original upper class pizza place in Manila, way before Yellow Cab Pizza. The best dish that the restaurant has to offer is the Mushroom, Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza which is a perfect blend that meshes the flavors harmoniously. The restaurant also gave rise to a popular oriental pizza called the “Kung Pao Spaghetti” which consists of chicken, spaghetti pasta and peanuts. This type of pasta has since been copied by large restaurant chains such as Yellow Cab Pizza and Kentucky Fried Chicken, but up to this day nothing beats the original. [more] |

California Pizza Kitchen
California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is known as a pizza parlor in other countries. But in the Philippines, CPK is a fancy place that offers pricey pizza and pasta. Located in several malls in the metro, such as Glorietta 4 in Makati and Trinoma in Quezon City, CPK is one of my family's favorite restaurants. Whenever we go to CPK, I enjoy being seated near the window to enjoy the landscape of the mall or the nearby hotel. When it comes to food, nothing beats a combination of any variant of pizza and pasta. However, I'm not really into thin-crust pizza like those served in CPK. In fairness though, CPK pizza has a delightful taste that can satisfy any pizza-lover. Try to visit sometimes, so you'll know what I mean. [more] |
