Chicken Savvy at Savory Chicken
Nothing beats a classic, and that’s proven by Savory Chicken. Established in 1950 on Escolta, this Chinese restaurant boasts of its special recipe of fried chicken which later became famous to the Chinese community in the Philippines. Today, you can also visit Savory Chicken in the country’s biggest mall—the Mall of Asia. In ordering, I suggest you get Chow Fried Rice—yellow rice mixed with tiny bits of meat, egg, carrots, and peas. Another best-seller is the Lo Han Chai, which is a mixture of baby corn, cabbages, mushroom, carrots, and other veggies in a sweet sauce. Don’t forget the most popular Savory Chicken. Although its flavor may become monotonous after some time, like what happens to other chickens, the delicious gravy saves it in the end. All these may sum up to $10, so prepare your wallet. [more] |
