Our Lady of Lourdes Parish
Whenever I have enough time on weekend, I make sure that I hear mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Tagaytay City. Even if I don’t go to the city’s tourist spots as long as I visit this parish, I feel more than relaxed and peaceful. What surprised me about the Parish is that it’s becoming one of the favorite destinations in the city. Well, who wouldn’t fall in love with this serene place? Today, the Parish has a new and bigger church to accommodate fast-growing number of visitors every Sunday. It also has a wonderful grotto which has an image of Mama Mary atop cascading waters outside the new building. Both devotees and new visitors may spend a solemn time of prayer in this part of the parish. But for some people, they visit this parish to touch the said actual gloves of St. Padre Pio—an Italian priest who received the stigmata or the five wounds of Jesus Christ. With scheduled masses daily, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is open to anyone who wants to spend a short time of peace and prayer. [more] |
