Great place to eat and drink Edinburgh
This area is famous in Edinburgh for its very high density of bars and restaurant around one square and is popular with students and stag and hen parties because of this. Don’t let that put you off though, it’s a really nice place for a drink and it’s in a fantastic location in the old heart of the city – within easy reach of the high street and with the castle towering over it. On a sunny day they put tables and chairs outside the bars and restaurants giving the place a continental feel. The buildings are really pretty and there are some excellent and interesting shops to visit. During the festival this place is kicking and it’s fantastic to watch the fireworks over the castle.
