The Moulin d'Omer is both a bakery and a mill in Cugucnan. The mill has been in the town since the days of feudal lords, and ever since it was taken over and refinished by the Moulin d'Omer bakery, the bakery has been milling its own flour for artisanal bread. The miller of the bakery gives tours of the mill daily: stop by and ask him to show you around. He gives an extensive history of both the mill and the profession of milling, as well as some interesting insight on the differences between artisanal and mass-produced baked goods. The bakery itself sells all sorts of delicious items, such as bread and cookies. Try an assortment of items, especially the specialty flavored gâteaux, or shortbread cookies.
