Daugavpils Cathedral
Even though Daugavpils was not even in the brochure that we had about Latvia, the city is bigger that what we expected. The city seemed to be even bigger than the other smaller towns where we had gone. In Daugavpils we saw one of the most fascinating Cathedrals I have seen, very Orthodox, and very well decorated The Cathedral is one of our Latvia’s highlights. The Cathedral has 6 domes (if I remember correctly) and they are all decorated with a big cross on top. I fully recommend this beautiful building. [more] |
