Yesterdog: the legend
Yesterdog is a legend. Not just in West Michigan but around the state and beyond. It’s even the inspiration for the hotdog joint prominent in the original American Pie movie (the movie’s writer lived in the area and frequented the place while growing up). Yesterdog serves a variety of hotdogs…and of course chips and soda. They’ve also had a fantastic idiosyncratic décor of antique signs, advertisements, and fixtures long before it was fashionable. Another great Yesterdog quirk is their tip jar. It’s located behind the counter and throwing coins to the tip jar is permitted and encouraged. The dogs are cheap and delicious. It’s a great place for lunch, a snack, a quick dinner, or for something after a night out (they’re open till around 3am). I make excuses to go to Yesterdog whenever I can. [more] |
