It's expensive, and you have to order a lot of dishes to fill up, but
don't let that stop you (and, ideally, a group of friends) from
heading over to Momofuku Ssam Bar (207 Second Avenue at 13th Street).
The crowded, busy vibe of this East Village hipster and
gastro-geek-chic hotspot is exactly what you need on a Wednesday night
to get you through the rest of the week (it'll also be slightly less
crowded, though since this is a small restaurant to begin with,
crowded is a relative term). It's surprising--and surprisingly
