Akropolis entertainment and shopping center
Akropolis is a huge complex in the suburb of Vilnius (I've heard they've recently opened one more in Kaunas region). It offers many different shopping and entertainment opportunities. When I come to Vilnius I like to shop there because I can mix shopping with dinner in one of the restaurants (there is pizza place, traditional Lithuanian buffet, Chinese and some others), coffee break at one of the cafes and ice skating at the rink in the middle of the complex. They have as well a big cinema there. At least in one of the rooms you can find a movie in English. I always stop at Soprano's Ice cream for a super delicious cone. It is very easy to reach Akropolis from the city center by bus. From some stations there is also a free frequent shuttle. [more] |
