Riz Raz, Copenhagen
I read that Riz Raz has been voted to the best vegetarian restaurant in Copenhagen. It’s not difficult to understand why. First of all, their Mediterranean food is super-good and not especially pricey either. It’s a great place for travellers who want a fresh, healthy and tasty meal without needing to spend too much. Their lunch buffet for 69 Danish crones is terrific with plenty of fresh fruit (the melon is delicious), vegetables, beans, lenses, and several tasty hot and cold dishes. Don’t miss the hummus, tzatziki or their warm home made Pita bread. I also liked the bean salad, the chickpeas salad and the lasagne. We were there during the lunch, and we read they also serve a dinner buffet for 79 Danish crones. Aside from the buffets, they have many starters, main courses and desserts. Take-away is possible for all meals.
The next best thing with Riz Raz is the cozy atmosphere. The soft light and the coloured walls create a homey feel to this place. Besides this, the staff at Riz Raz is very friendly, helpful and service-minded. Another great thing is the central location. The restaurant is locted at Kompanistraede 20, a pedestrian street not far from Stroget. Riz Raz’s open times are Monday to Sunday 11.30am – 12pm all days. I can’t think of any reason why you shouldn’t eat here.
Riz Raz is hard to miss, especially during the warmer months when their open-air restaurant often is crowded with locals and tourists.
Riz Raz also has one restaurant at Store Kanikkestraede 19. [more]
