The Market Place
As always I was fascinated with the local market place, this one was really big, with so many things to buy… most of them clothes, probably from questionable quality and precedence but still there were so many people buying, so I guess the clothes were not that bad after all. Then I saw what I always like to see, the fruit and vegetable section, which gave the whole market the atmosphere that I always expect from a market, people walking calmly choosing the best tomato, cucumber or any other vegetable. I loved the experience, although I would have liked an open market instead of closed one. Fully recommend it if you like experiencing how Latvia really is. If you go do not forget to buy some of the amazing quality vegetables sold there, they are huge and really healthy since people selling them planted them themselves. [more] |
