Museums of Alexander Antiquities, Alexandria

4.0 stars

The last but not least attraction of the city is the antiquities, being built by Alexander the great you can instantly imagine how rich it will be with treasures, unfortunately it is not the case, for the ancient city was a little to the north and has drowned, so now all the ruins of the ancient city lies beneath the sea, they actually are building now a museum for the underwater ruins with cooperation with the UNESCO.
There are other museums though like the National Alexandrian Museum, The Greco-Roman Museum and The Royal jewelry museum.
If you are into World War II, there is a museum called "Al-Alamein war museum" it is about 100 km to the west of Alexandria and it lies where the very famous El-Alamein battle took place, it has many items of the WWII with costumes of different soldiers and tanks and guns and basically everything and if you are so into this that you actually traveled 100 km, why not travel an extra 100 km to the west and go see the "Desert Fox" museum, Rommel, they built a museum in one of the caves he used as a headquarter, with many of his items.
