Another one of the sights in Zagreb you simply cannot miss. Kula Lotrscak (or the Lotrscak tower) is a part of what used to be Gradec (upper part of the town) fortification system. Lotrscak dates back to the 13th century and has walls that are 195 centimeters thick, which is a common width for the buildings in the old part of the town. And if you find yourself sightseeing brace yourself because at noon, the canon will shoot from Lotrscak tower. To the modern day Zagreb it represents that its noon and to set their watches by it, however this tradition is some hundred years old and supposedly in the beginning it symbolized the Croatian's victory over Turks. Lotrscak Tower - Overview

The Tower of Lotrščak () is a fortified tower located in Zagreb, Croatia, in old part of town called Gradec or Gornji grad (). The Tower, which dates to the 13th century, was built to guard the southern gate of the Gradec town wall.
