Alexandria Bay
Great beach buried in the Noosa National Park. It's about a 3km walk from either the Park Car Park or from McAnnally Drive at the north end of Sunshine Beach. The beach is spectacular white sand with a real surf making it a bit dangerous if the sea is high and your not a strong swimmer. There are a few things to know: - There are no facilities so bring food and water with you - If it is hot ensure that you have the energy to walk home - 3km is not far but some of it is through dunes so it can test you if your not ready - Bring sunscreen regardless of the time of year - The beach is the local nude beach so if you are sensitive to this be aware. If not then use more sunscreen and you'll have a hoot. [more] |
