Japanese Food in Cardiff
A top place for great Japanese food in the Welsh capital is “Ichiban” on the Cowbridge Road about a half hour walk west of the city centre. There’s also a second restaurant on Albany road in Roath. The menus are varied and fresh with a choice of set “teishoku” meals at about £11 and sushi/sashimi at £4 a plate. Lunchtime specials are cheaper and they offer a take away service as well. Hot and cold sake is available and the Japanese staff are very friendly, they even looked after our young son when we went in for a meal. The restaurant gets busy in the evenings after 7pm (even on weekdays) so booking is advisable. [more] |
