Ah, Shack Café. There’s no other place that I know of which depicts a better version of an all-American classic diner. This diner is something you would see in a film, complete with a cook dressed in all white, a waitress who calls you “hon’,” a counter full of friendly locals and the occasional aged coffee drinker. The food here is your typical diner fare, but it tastes great, in my opinion. They’ve got daily blue-plate specials for lunch, ranging from anywhere between $3.95 and $7.50. As for dinner, you’ve got quite a selection on your hands, but I’d recommend the meal of pan-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and the vegetable of the day, all for just seven dollars. [more] |
