St. Charles Ave
St Charles Ave is one of the architectural wonders of the world in my opinion. The homes are beautiful, with sort of a tropical color scheme, and the oak trees lining the avenue are both old and stunning. I used to drive this avenue every morning of the week to go to school, and it's at it's most beautiful either in the early morning, right after sunrise, or late afternoon. Then again, being from New Orleans, I tend to think of the middle of the day as that time you take a nap or do something quiet indoors anyway, but the beautiful houses and the play of shadow and light through the trees on them will be a bright point in my memory for as long as I live, even if I never make it back there.
