St Mungo Museum of Religous Life and Art
This is a wonderful museum for anyone interested in religion all around the world. The museum manages to promote understanding without being patronizing, telling about the various forms of worship, life cycle rituals, etc. I once organized a tour there for a university club, and staff was really friendly and helpful. They also organize a lot of talks and workshops, such as the ‚Voices from Africa storytelling sessions’ and free lunch time talks. Don’t miss the Zen garden! Last time I visited I also went to see the city’s oldest house and Glasgow’s gothic cathedral, which can be found nearby. [more] |
