El Cid is an authentic Spanish (not Mexican!) restaurant that has become quite popular over the years, thanks to not only the exquisite cuisine served here, but for the performances here, as well.
As far as recommendations go, I can vouch for their Pollo Madrid, which is a tender chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms and onions, topped with a delicate white sauce. Trust me, it's a winner. Be sure to order one of their cranberry daiquiris with your meal (with or without alcohol) to complete the experience.
Entertainment here includes bands (indie, rock and country), comedians, burlesque shows, belly dancing and flamenco performances.
