Hotel Istana Batik, Yogyakarta
During a recent trip to the Indonesian city of Yogyakarta (actually pronounced JogJakarta) I decided to stay at the Hotel Istana Batik which was a budget / mid range hotel in the heart of the city. This small hotel was quite a good find. The rooms were spacious and well presented with dark wood giving a feel of class. The price for the room was very reasonable and this was one of the deciding factors but its location also meant that I was within walking distance of the main market and all of the other attraction of the city.
