Govinda's Vego 'O' Rama - delicious hare krishna food in the heart of Surfers Paradise
Govinda's Vego 'O' Rama was one of my favourite places to eat when I was living in Surfers Paradise, if you like curries or are vegetarian check this place out. It's run by some friendly hippy/hare krishna people who will fill your plate with delicious vegetable dishes - mainly curry - poppadoms, salads and other assorted side dishes. You can eat there or take away, it's inside the Centro shopping centre which is on Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise - the main street. If you don't mind eating late show up at around 8:30 and they'll give you heavy discounts as they close at nine. A lot of the dishes are really hot so if you're tongue doesn't handle chilli well I suggest you ask for the mild dishes! [more] |
