If you’ve ever watched Lifetime TV, you’ve probably seen the show called, “Designing Women,” which featured strong Southern women with big attitudes and even bigger Southern pride. Although this 1980’s comedy show was supposedly said to take place in Atlanta Georgia on 1521 Sycamore, the house that is featured in the show’s opening is actually on Scott Street right here in Little Rock, Arkansas. Just the backdrop features scenery of Georgia, that’s all. While this home is located in the midst of other grand houses, this one most definitely sticks out the most due to its interesting architecture combination of the Italianate and Second Empire styles.
