Sanssouci Park
The Sanssouci Park is a very wide green area that hosts many historical buildings and monuments. There are many things to visit and that is why I recommend saving a whole day just for the park, if you plan on visiting everything. The major highlight of the park is the Sanssouci Castle, which is the oldest building in the park. I loved the castle. It is very elegant and lovely decorated. There is a fountain right in front of the stairs that lead to the castle and you can sit there and rest before climbing the stairs, which may be a little tiresome. What I also liked a lot in the park is the Chinese tee house and the Friedenskirche (Church of Peace). Apart from that, the park hosts two other castles and a lovely garden. [more] |
