The East Strand
If I had to recomment a beach in Portrush, it would be this one. Portrush has several really nice beaches, and with the size of the town (it's quite small!) all are within easy reach of not only the town centre but also each other. When the sun is out and it's hot then this beach is quite full, but being that Northern Ireland is yet to really open up to tourists, it never gets as crowded as the beaches in more developed parts, adn certainly no like the beaches on the Spanish costas where every inch of sand is covered and there is no room to play games in the sand or dig holes. The East Strand is in a good location in that it's not too windy like some other beaches and that there is a good area to sunbathe and the sea never goes to far out. [more] |
