Museum of Decorative Arts, Prague

4.0 stars

If you're looking to fulfill a fantasy of living in the grand manner
of a fin-de-siecle dandy, the Museum of Decorative Arts is the place
to do so. This museum's extraordinary collection in an equally
extraordinary house is like stepping back in time with baroque
furniture, exquisite wallpaper, and fun curiosities like beer glasses
and commodes (because it wouldn't be Prague without a little quirk). [more ]

Museum of decorative arts

Museum of decorative arts is located at ulice 17. listopadu 2 (Prague 1, take Metro to Staromestska, or trams 17, 18 to the tram station with the same name).

Anyone interested in decorative glass, textiles furniture and other bits and pieces will come to his/her own here. Of course the most notable is the decorative glass as Bohemia has quite a reputation for glass making, which is even more notable in the many souvenir shops you will come across during your sightseeing.
