Gamanta Hotel This is a very nice medium size four star hotel in the center of Palanga. It is ideally situated not far from the bus station (the main public transport inside of the country), airport is within a taxi ride (not expensive in Lithuania), 15 minutes walking to the beach, 5 minutes to the main street. All the hotel areas ate nicely decorated, especially I liked the patio rich with flowers and antique-styled tables and chairs where you can enjoy a nice drink. Rooms are very cozy with nice furniture and quite comfortable bathrooms. I've stayed there just for one night, so I can't really go into details. But during next visits I've been some more times to the restaurant. It has a pleasant relaxing atmosphere, I liked big windows which let the light in. Food is really great - big portions, delicious and stylish. I would recommend their salmon main course and traditional cold soup. This beetroot soup is really refreshing during summer and still worth to try if you happen to be there in winter - so tasty! I've tried sauna as well. Very comfortable, easy to use, ambient. Try the cold barrel-throw, it chills and wakes up the body better then any cold shower. Personnel is very helpful and sincerely friendly, speaks some extra languages.
