Café Tihany
As you crossed Lake Balaton from Szantod to Tihany, the first significant building to your right side right at the spot where the ferry that takes you would stop is Café Tihany, and their Paela? YUMMY! This place is more like a pizzeria but with Mediterranean foods on their menu as well. Beside hot drinks such as coffee and tea, Café Tihany obviously also offers cold drink and even liquors. In summer, this café is always full with customers, thus, though reservation doesn’t seem to be a priority, I would like to suggest you to make one before going there, because it was hard for us to find non occupied seats. Their grilled chicken burger (or sandwich) was quite good as well; however I have to say the prices are a bit expensive. While there are actually other restaurants nearby, if you are not really looking for Hungarian foods, you might want to try Café Tihany. [more] |
